Ward has a lot to do again before he's number 1 or even in the list at all. He's had about he hasn't had a meaningful fight in about 3 or 4 years and fought 2 very very average fighters in the last years. I'm not saying his skills aren't good enough to be top of the p4p list but you can't go on past achievements, if that's the case, how far back do you wanna go until you stop putting names in it? Are we gonna put someone like Mosley in there because he was a great fighter once and still in the list 6 years ago, just because he is active now and had a win? no, not at all. That's the logic with Ward right now. it doesn't work.
Ward has a lot to do and some good names to add before he earns his spot again. Beating 2 very average fighters in 3 years doesn't earn you place on the list, i don't care how good you are or what business problems you had, it's what you do in the ring in the present time that matters.
I can't say GGG belongs there either but at least he's been cleaning out his division while Ward has been cleaning the dishes at home for a few years.Last edited by deathofaclown; 09-30-2015, 03:23 PM.Comment

Ward just had to show up and TheRing gave him his old spot back.....

And yet, the subject is P4P. You should not even be considered for P4P until you have beaten an elite opponent. Unqualified for evaluation.Comment

A challenge to everyone here.....
Make your own P4P list, and use whatever criteria you like..... the only thing that you must do is apply the same criteria evenly to every fighter.
What criteria could possibly justify ranking Golovkin higher than Pacquiao ?
Pacfans, be really interested to hear from you guys regarding that one.
What criteria ?
Overall resume? NO
Recent accomplishments? NO
Current form? NO
Divisional supremacy? Maybe.....
..... but if that is the case, then how could you possibly have Pacquiao on a P4P list? When has Pacquiao ever dominated a division? He has never been the best welter, in fact he hardly fought any of the top welters. He only fought Hatton at 140. Only Diaz at lightweight.
And if it is a combination of both, then how could Golovkin be rated higher than Klitschko?
Gennady really does have a lovely smileComment

SPot on.
Hey, I actually like GGG as a fighter, I think he has a=some skill and has shown great power. But he is 34 years old and has fought no one, he deserves to be questioned for this fact. He's been a pro for a decade, you're telling me he hasn't been able to fight anyone of note for 10 years?
He's simply not a proven top 10 P4P fighter no matter what HBO says. Maybe he'll start fighting some non tomato cans, but Lemiuex is another nobody that any good fighter should beat easily.Comment
