He is the flavor of the month really, but the list is pretty weak in general and has been pretty weak for a while.

P4P lists are really to get people talking and having a guy higher than they have rightfully earned always gets people talking, right or wrong. Nothing really wrong with speculation or trying to be ahead of the curve though.

This guy scky rockets to the top with that resume and Wladimir klitschko who has faced better opposition is below him??? i dont get it. What has this guy done to be P4P?
      1. He beat Ishida and Ouma both former world champions.

      2. WTF does being unbeaten has to do with anything.

      3. He is the world champion. Not his fault Pirog got injured or that Geale only to decided to fight after he lost his title in a close fight with Barker.

      4. I guess you just wanted to make a fourth point because this one is just a flat out lie.

Pound for pound is who would win a fight if everyone was the same size, GGG pound for pound would most likely beat Kovalev, Wlad, and Most other fighters if they fought today. It's as simple as that.

            2. He has defeated 4 undefeated fighters (go look at boxrec)

            3. Murray was current unified champ if it wasn't for blatant robberies + NOW Lemiux then mando for Cotto-Canelo then Lee said "lets do it"

            4. He has beaten 8 top10, forget about 20,30. These r top10. goto https://archive.org/web/ and use waybackmachine and check RING, espn, tbrb and boxrec rankings. go on get busy. He is literally cleaning out the whole division

            5. He is only 6 defenses short of breaking B-hops record defenses which will take about 1.5 year

            6. He has never even been down in about 400 fights let alone out.

            7. Amateur record of 345-5 with gold in World championship and silver in Olympics.

            8. And now, Boxers that ducked/ducking GGG

1---Felix sturm - wouldn't fight him for over 2 years when GGG was mandatory.

2---Peter quillin - said he will only fight for the may-pac kind of money, lol

3---Sergio martinez - "His promoter said that "no way I am putting him with this monster"

4---Hassaan ndam njikam -When Hassaan was WBO champ, he was ordered to a purse bid to face Golovkin no less than two times and he was a no show each time.

5---Miguel cotto - didn't want to fight him despite being mandatory.

6---Julio cesar chavez jr - Turned down 12mil offer by TR

7---Saul alvarez - Thinks that he is fighting at the weight-class of 155, as there is no such thing as a "155 weight-class" ,he is pretending to be not in the MW division because of GGG.There are 17 divisions just pick one, if you can't make 154 then you are a MW, simple.

8---Carl froch - After calling GGG out then when GGG accepted ,he backed down and now he is retired after making all the fuss, GGG was calling him for more than a year so no excuses for "retiring".

9---Andrea Ward. The diva of the 168lb division don't want to travel or meet the a-side GGG in a catchweight so he can become a good boy and get ktfo. Was willing to goto 160 for Floyd but when GGG said 164, Ward ducked.

10---Sebastian Sylvester - When Sylvester was IBF champ, he ducked GGG blatantly

11---Darren Barker - When Barker defeated Geale to become IBF champ, his promoter openly said that Barker will fight any1 except GGG
Case close..i still want GGG vs Ward at 168..i give edge to Ward..but going for 3g..ward is only boxer i think can go the distance vs 3G from 68 down. .that says a lot about 3G considering ward is probably #1 p4p in most ppl list.

Don't listen to the fanboys or the haters. The #1 reason is way simpler. He can punch. Punchers have always been overrated at virtually all points of their careers, coming up, at the top & on the downside. Thats the #1 thing that has lifted GGG to the heights he's at right now. He'll rise further or drop lower, but he'll still likely be overrated whichever way he goes cuz thats pretty much always the case with guys with pop. Its less to do with GGG specifically & more about his power.

33-0 30 KO, that and the fact that an entire division is ducking him.
He is the most ducked fighter right now.

If you're going to nit pick, Chocolatito Gonzales's opponents are not that impressive either.

Yaegashi, green Estrada and Niida are pretty good. But the rest? Well, he's very dominating and has been climbing weights (althought its easier at the lower weights) and getting titles.

Golovkin is one of the most dominating fighters in boxing right now. His competition isn't impressive. But neither are Kovalev's (Pascal is very limited and Hopkins was ancient), Rigondeaux's (only beat Donaire who's proven to be vastly limited aswell), etc, etc.

Andre Ward has, by far, the most impressive record in active fighters right now.
