It wont happen... Pac and his team are gunning for Marquez V... They will pursue it at all costs.

My issue is this..... the Marquez fight has never been an option for Arum.

Marquez refused the fight in 2013, he refused the fight again in 2014, and he has refused the fight once again in 2015.

Bob Arum, is..... disingenuous, to say the least. Everyone knows this.

Arum gave 5 potential opponents..... Marquez, Khan, Brook, Matthyse, Crawford.

Over the years Bob Arum has repeatedly mentioned names for Pacquiao, names that did not, and will not, eventuate..... and one of those names just so happens to be on the latest list of potential Pac opponents.

There is nothing to indicate that Manny will fight any of those guys, certainly nothing from Bob Arum thats for sure.

I believe that.....
* Pacquiao/Marquez V will never happen.
* Pacquiao will never fight Khan/Brook, ever.
* He may fight Crawford, but not until his very last Top Rank fight.
* Matthyse is next, should he get past Postol

Note to Khan: Stop worrying about Pacquaio and Mayweather, worry about them dudes young enough who'll be around the rest of your career. Beat them and stand out on your own as the best in class.

For some reason Khan thinks he's in a Floyd and Manny situation where like Oscar they'll hand him the throne. Even people who like Khan have just turned his back on him because of the chasing. He didn't do himself any favors with that performance against Algieri either.

There's no doubt Khan is the best troll on Boxing Scene!

I honestly believe Khan did well in sparring against Manny from what Roach was saying at the time *BUT* sparring isn't real fighting. Pacquiao has a great chin and only has to hit Khan once to knock him down. Even if Khan can keep him off the first 6 rounds, Manny will get to him down the stretch. We saw what happened with Maidana, and Manny's a much better fighter than Maidana.

Add to this how long Khan will have been inactive when this fight happens, it's just crazy. Even if Khan did win, Mayweather won't fight anyone who has a chance of beating him (Berto?????). Khan would be more likely to get that fight if he lost.

Yep, Roach completely flip-flopped on that when Khan left him.

They stopped sparring Khan because it wasn't benefitting Manny.

Take that however you like.

But I agree with you that it is only sparring, and I would pick Pac based on Khans recent performances.
