i dunno man...perhaps they can be stars but nothing that would crossover IMO

one doesn't speak english and the other is a KO-loss waiting to happen

talent and charisma is hard to find

yup...i would say him but his window is 5yrs or less...Kovalev isn't a youngster either

then you've got buffoons like Broner that wont be much...Garcia who's not even fully embraced by all ricans...

not much out there...there will definitely be a lull for a while

Ward will be the leader of this new era

Wilder can be but he has to fight Povetkin to start on that path

I'm feeling antsy about the next crop of fighters. We have some really good fighters but none of the 30ish and younger fighters have particularly distinguished themselves as standouts yet. Except Ward.

But there are definitely some fights to look out for in the meantime. We're going to have Ward/Kovalev fight sooner or later. Canelo/Cotto is big and the winner versus GGG could be big. Over the next year or so Klitschko will either be dethroned or become the undisputed unified champ. If we're lucky these guys at WW will finally distinguish themselves. Inoue and Gonzalez feels like a dream fight now but who knows .

Give me a break here... Golovkin has 33 wins, no losses and 20 straight KOs - Ward has had ONE FIGHT IN TWO YEARS and you think Ward has distinguished himself as a standout???

                  I expect better from you!

What Hopkins accomplished is the most extraordinary imo.

There are few fighters in 100 years that will have world titles at age 48 - 49.

If Floyd hadn't ducked Khan so blatantly 4 times it would have rounded off the era nicely, even if he had lost like his father Floyd Sr feared he would. But, he can still redeem himself and step in the ring with Khan. He might not have much of a chance in that fight based on the style match up with Khan winning something like 9-3 or 8-4 at this point. Easy work against this fading version of Floyd but prime for prime it would have been a 50-50.
