if that's the measure, deontay wilder should end up in the HOF as well.

GGG has defeated much better fighters than Wilder. He is set to fight another champion and he has KOed several top 10 world rated guys. Can you name a middleweight fighting today who has defeated as many good middleweights as GGG has? If you can then what is his name. If Wilder continues to knock everyone out he will go to the hall of fame too. If Wilder starts losing then he probably won't get in. The same with GGG. If he starts losing fights he may not get in the hall. So far GGG has won all his fights by a large amount and he has never even been hurt. He has the highest KO percentage of all champions.

Of course not...if he wins that fight, unifies the division, beats the record for most defenses, and moves up and beats a Ward or Kovalev type then yes...

No. If we're going to be honest, a win over Canelo or Cotto wouldn't make his resume better than Zab Judah's.

No one win should put any fighter in the HoF. But if Golovkin manages to unify all the titles and become the undisputed middleweight champion, that would put him in the Hall of Fame. And if he continues to destroy whoever is put in front of him and continues to fight at a pace of three or four fights per year, he will shatter Floyd's record by the time he retires. That will also put him in the HoF. So considering where he is in his career now, I see no reason he will not have a Hall of Fame career when he is ready to retire.

But a win over Canelo - Cotto winner, neither of whom is a Hall of Famer by my standards at this point in time, will be nothing more than another win for him.

Stiverne was rated 10th by boxrec when Wilder fought him. Murray was rated 6th when GGG fought him. Stiverne is by far the best guy Wilder ever fought and he held a piece of the title so good win for Wilder. Really his ONLY good win. Everyone else Wilder ever fought was rated 30th or lower. GGG will face another champion very soon. Lemieux is ranked 6th. I think GGG has a much better record than Wilder. If you disagree I guess that makes me a GGG fan and you a Wilder fan. Us boxing fans don't always agree. That's life.
