Joshua is all wrong for Wilder.

Huge guy, long reach, cuts off the ring well, and explosive combinations.

Well he got caught flush on the chin several times by Stiverne and he didn't get decked. Did you not watch Wilders recent fight and see him get hit on the chin?

Indeed...he's a joy to watch and you'll notice he's a bit sadistic as he smiles and smirks when he has a guy hurt while dishing out punishment...I guess I'm saying he has the killer instinct.

Wilder has a better gauge of space and distance (while also having a better chin) than people give him credit for, tbh.

Beyond that, there are very few actual heavyweights that fight in a style to really take advantage of Wilder's current mistakes (which he will cut down on as he continues to sharpen his craft); Wilder, as he's stepped up the durability/competition level, is fighting more and more like how Mark Breland fought when he was throwing hands. (Tons of Breland fights online if you want to look for any final holes).

David Haye (if he was all the way back and fit to compete), stylistically, is probably the toughest matchup for Wilder [in/out fighter, HW power, willing to fire on your way in/out, etc]

Only thing he has learned that Mark Breland has taught him is the Jab. But he LACKS all the things you lean in Amateurs. He has ZERO Boxing Fundamentals. He shouldn't be backing up like does, that movement had him tired by the 4th Round. He did better fighting inside, also he took less punishment working on the inside instead of trying to work from the outside.

He is going to have to surprise me vs these other Top Heavyweights because I don't see him doing well vs those other fighters unless he can Knock Them Out. His Power is the Real Deal, if he lands clean on anybody he can knock them out. His Problem is he doesn't know how to setup his Power and it really starts to become Predictable so a good counter puncher would tear him apart. I think Kassi would give Wilder SERIOUS PROBLEMS but likely would get ROBBED yet again.

Best of luck to him, I don't HATE HIM like some people, I prefer Skilled Boxers>Wild Brawlers but I will give Wilder Credit, his fights are always entertaining

Great Point! Kinda funny seeing people on this forum hype up other Heavyweights who I don't even think is all that good. Wilder probably will end up beating a lot of them by Default because they themselves are nothing special

Meh Wilder is outlanding these guys by a million. He's hitting these guys a lot more than he's getting hit, which means he's going to win every fight he's in unless he's getting sparked. He's very fast and accurate with underrated defense.

Not sure where people get this idea Wilder doesn't have defense. This is HW boxing for God's sake you're going to get hit some..

He has a strange style and punching technique. I have seen him throw punches with both feet off the ground. I can't remember a champion that did that. He has fast hands and punching power but everything he throws is so wide. He winds up his punches before he throws them.
