Wlad sure, but Povetkin that is not near a foregone conclusion considering how much range Wilder has on Povetkin and the chances he has to get him first and Povetkin also has 0 defense.

He's improving. Keep in mind he only had 30 something amateur fights

Oh geez how long have we been hearing this? Since his debut? He's never even been seriously hurt yet. Pointless thread

Seriously doubt if there's been five heavies who fought at the world class level for any meaningful period of time in the last 30 years who weren't stopped at least once.

Wlad got stopped. He's turned out OK. Vitali got stopped. He turned out OK. Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe, Lewis ... all top-tier heavyweights, all got stopped.

          It happens in heavyweight boxing.
The mondern day Goliath, Fury, has never been stopped.

He's so tall he can get by pulling straight back. Even when he gets hit he's not taking the full brunt of the punch. To KO Wilder some one is going to have to time him coming in and catch him clean.

Hey, something we can agree on Larry.

With that said, he's entertaining while it lasts and his punch output is pretty damn solid for a heavyweight. I'll enjoy watching him until he get's iced but I feel every fight for him looks like a life and death struggle going forward.

But hey, it's life as a heavyweight. 1 punch from any heavyweight can end the fight at any time. Ain't easy fighting amongst giants.

Wilder reminds me of where Fury was a couple years back.

That drunk Alabama crowd seemed to think it was "bravado" and "guts" when Wilder loaded up on punches with his chin stuck in the air.

I see coordination problems and an opportunity for an opponent who isn't slow as molasses like his last few to fire a straight right hand down the pipe.

Yup. The guys who will give Wilder the most issues are rangy guys like Wlad and Fury. If Wilder continues to develop and he remains disciplined, the shorter fighters won't have a chance.

There is some truth to what you're saying. Stiverne landed on him, but he was reaching with his punches and his feet weren't set because he constantly had to move to get into range. Wilder just shrugged them off and laughed at him because they were probably only 40% of Stiverne's close range power.
