Sounds like Deontay is stalling hoping Wlad gets beat or retires. I don't think he's ready for Wlad.
Yeah, he doesn't sound the least bit up for it. That's not the sort of thing you say when you're itching to fight the champ.

I actually don't mind that though. If he just wants to stay in Alabama fighting lesser challengers and putting on a show for his fans that's ok by me. But he shouldn't then go round calling himself the heavyweight champion of the world or criticising anyone else's resume like he had the gall to do to Wlad recently.

Yep. There are 4 titles, so it was always going to happen. Been that way for awhile now.

But to be patient and would like for it to occur sometime next year. He also said the wait could only help him which is true.
Yea thats how I took it.

Povetkin or Fury are the logical opponents for Wilder, and it looks like Povetkin is next. Fury will likely be coming off a loss anyway.

I hope the Povetkin fight gets made.

Wow! Now I've really heard it all. You should probably see a therapistbcoz sumn is clearly wrong with you!

Wilder just declared that he will fight his mandatory that everyone has been accusing him of ducking and while Klitachko deals with his own mandatory ane then the winners will unify, he even hopes that Klitschko's heats Fury, his mandatory as he is confident he will beat his (povetkin), but SOMEHOW you were able to spin that around and turn it into a Wilder is ducking statement?

          Unbelievable!

Wilder is a jive-ass mother, and he for sure is ducking Wlad.

Now you can run and tell that, home boy.

Yeah maybe you can invite to your fantasy world, the world where Wilder actually mans up and fights a true HW challenge again, let alone Wlad.

That boy gonna fight pushovers in Alabama until he retires.

He means as late as possible. Playing the waiting/age game.

If you look t his record this far and believe he's going to fight Povetkin then Wlad back to back next year.... LOL
