Deontay didn't sound like he was in any real hurry to fight Klitschko. Kept saying things like "if we both keep winning fights" (so wants several fights more before Klitschko) and "maybe at the end of next year" (over a year's time away, Wlad will be nearly 41).

Sounds like Deontay is stalling hoping Wlad gets beat or retires. I don't think he's ready for Wlad.

You're hearing what you want to. He said they both have things to take care of fist -- mandatories to get out the way (Povetkin and of course Fury's got next for Wlad) and business (negotiations). But to be patient and would like for it to occur sometime next year. He also said the wait could only help him which is true.

I don't see Wilder beating a top heavyweight. If its Povetkin, I feel Alexander would hurt Wilder badly. He certainly doesn't want to see Klitschko. Neither Fury for that matter. I think a good fight for Wilder could be Shannon Briggs. I think Briggs takes him out too though. Just my opinion....man.

Tough titty. He shouldn't have gone for the belt if he wasn't prepared to defend it against world class opponents.
