That is what many said about PAC! But I believe he was clean when he lost to Floyd. He lost his KO power suddenly. Very suspecious!

    • There are tons of things that one can learn and appreciate in fighters like Floyd , Roy Jones and Bernard Hopkins, but because Larry didn't understand what they were doing he only pointed out the stuff that casuals see, if u r a pro and u r selling the audience a show, u should at least understand what's happening and try to point out the unique stuff.

Instead of trying to learn a thing or 2 from witnessing great legends like the aformentioned, he chose to hate on them and showed his absolute ignorance about the technical aspects of the game, not only that, but also showed his personal hatred for certain fighters and personal favoritism for others, which is the most unprofessional thing an announcer could do.

This man deserves absoultely no praise and all and his theories on how fighter should and shouldn't fight is the reason people call boxing boring, cuz they don't understand it and they only wanna see 2 guys punch each others in the face untill one of them can't move anymore.

Well put! If merchant critical of PAC, he would have to go to ESPN back in the day!

            • Would anyone here honestly be surprised if Floyd was, without a shadow of a doubt, taking PEDs? He's a serial domestic violence offender who beat his ex-girlfriend in front of their kids, and made a video of himself going on a racist rant towards Pacquiao and Asians in general. The point being that it wouldn't be outside of his character to cheat, he isn't exactly a morally sound person.

Anyway, point is, cuttijg weigh ain't the only reason a sportsman can get dehydration, the re is actually a long list of reasons. Is it not feasible that Floyd could have overtrained? Wasn't everyone making fun of him in the build up for overhauling his whole training regiment for pacquiao, chopping wood and doing under water training and ish, **** he never done before or ain't done since his early pro days? Yes, there is no way you could have missed all those articles about that in the buildup, in fact, most of those articles went on bwt how changing regimen at that age could backfire on Floyd, but when it appears to have done exactly that, people jump to the worst case scenario and forget what they said.
Sorry but according to Froid he trained harder for Berto.

Yea, I would be, but not for those reasons.

                    I would be surprised because.....

                    1) steroids dont benefit his game other than stamina, and everybody knows that Mayweathers training sessions and roadwork are legendary

                    2) he has undertaken additional drug testing for years

                    3) the IV thing is almost certainly waaay overblown.

Considering those things, I would be very surprised to hear he is doping.

I sure as hell wouldn't be using Merchants opinion as proof of anything
