It could have easily been a draw or gone in Kassi's favor. I had the fight 5-4 for Kassi with one round tied. I can understand Breazeale just edging Kassi but there's no way in hell he won more than 6 rounds. A clean sweep for Breazeale on 1 score card is ridiculous. Even the other 2 judges had it wrong with Kassi only winning 2 and 3 rounds on their respective score cards.
Even someone who thinks Breazeale won by 1 round like yourself should be annoyed that Kassi didn't get 1 round from the third judge. Just because the right guy won an admittedly close fight in your eyes doesn't mean a judge who doesn't give the loser a single round is somehow ok.
I would call it a "controversial scorecard" not a "controversial win." Breazeale rightfully won that fight 7-3 or 6-4. Kassi has no one to blame but himself. I've seen him a couple times and he always has moments where he looks very sharp and one punch away from a knockdown, but then goes for long stretches in the fight where he's backpedalling, playing defense and not throwing punches.
