I look forward to reading Thomas Hauser's article about should we trust VADA....oh wait this is a HBO fight...nevermind.

This stuff in boxing is getting hilariously ******. You already got problems making fights because of promoters, TV channel affiliations, alphabet groups & managers & fighters & now we're probably gonna have disputes over drug testing agencies lol.

And can someone just get rid of USADA, VADA & WADA & whatever other ADA's are out there or came up with a 24/7/365 drug testing in boxing entity that'll test all ranked fighters. There's 17 divisions with up to 45ish top ten ranked guys & champions in each division. Although lets say the average is like 25 title holders & top ten alphabet ranked fighters which would give this group just 425 fighters to test year round. That seems entirely doable for someone who gives a f#ck about PEDs. Believe the UFC has around 500-700 guys & this is what they are doing now with their entire roster all over the globe. If no one is doing that in boxing then no one really gives a f#ck about PEDs in boxing.

VADA has caught 3 fighters in 18 fights. USADA has only caught 1 fighter out of 46 fights. Based on those statistics, it would be safe to assume that USADA is a complete joke.

I think the obvious choice are alphabet groups since it'd be all ranked fighters that I think should be tested. Alphabet groups are taking 3% of title fight purses right now. Might as well use it for something other than making up rankings & new titles. And would probably even give them a reason to increase their % which I'm sure they'd love.

Commissions would be my 2nd choice, but I'm guessing that'd be a lot harder if not impossible to implement since all commissions around the globe would need to agree to it for it to have teeth & they'd need to receive some money from fighters purses & alphabet groups to take on the task.

What I know for sure is you can't have some fighters policing themselves & often just 4-8 weeks before the fight & most not doing anything at all & it be meaningful towards getting rid of PEDs in boxing. Either you are pro-24/7/365 testing or you are pro-PEDs.

Being a poker player & very into statistics I gotta tell you those "stats" are meaningless. VADA having a 8.3% catch rate over 36 boxers & USADA having a 1.0% catch rate over 92 boxers over a total of 64 bouts between them when there are probably 40,000+ pro bouts a year (pulled that number outta my ass, but figure it is a lot, maybe more maybe less) means f#ck all.

So just based on current fighters in those top tens, you got to have people on the ground in USA, Canada, mexico, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Congo, South Africa, Britain, Italy, Spain, France, Ireland, Poland, Germany, Ukraine, Russia, China, Thailand, Japan, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand. People in New Zealand just for Joseph Parker.
It would all have to be sub-contracted out and all the sub-contracted agencies would have to be monitored to make sure they are all working the same rules and guidelines - the lead agency would have to contract quality assurance organizations to check on the agencies.

                    Aint gonna happen.

Makes more sense to do it on a fight by fight basis and work it into the contracts. Anyone who refuses is immediately under a cloud of su****ion.

They are small samples but to my mind it's indicating that VADA are about 8 times as likely to catch a PED user as USADA. If you were researching into this from a zero prior knowledge perspective then those stats right there would jump out at you and catch your attention.

Further research would reveal the the causative factors we're all aware of and you would undoubtedly conclude that VADA testing is much more rigorous than USADA testing.
