Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury Expected Wladimir Klitschko Would Withdraw

Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 early) has told the Manchester Evening News that he expected Wladimir Klitschko to withdraw from their October 24 encounter. The heavyweights were going to vie for Klitschko’s WBA, IBO, IBF and WBO belts at Dussedorf's Esprit Arena only for the defending titlist to pick up a calf injury in training yesterday. The fight was postponed not cancelled, nice attempt at trolling. The contracts have not been negated.

What about next week when it's rescheduled , Wlad just wants to put Fury in his place not cancel.

The question is more whether Fury will be able to stay focused. He seemed overpumped/hyped already. Maybe he will boil over somehow.

            What a let down!

I suppose all the Klitschko fans will come out and admit Wlad is ducking? As they've done when all other opponents dropped out.

Yea I feel like this too. I kinda feel like with what you are saying this was a strategic move by Klitschko cuz the timing seems odd. Having said that I do remember Fury saying that something like this was going down so its not like it was unexpected on his side either so who f#cking knows.

I just hope its not postponed too long.

Of course nobody knows what really happened but my first guess was that Wlad found out that hes not on schedule and needs to start all over again with more PEDs!

That's obviously the plan from Wlad's end. Hopefully it backfires. Such tactics should not be allowed.
