  • Comments Thread For: Hearn: Kell Brook Will Move Up, Win Belts at 154, 160

Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport expects IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (35-0, 24KOs) to move up in weight in the next three to four fights.

Brook, who is big for the welterweight limit, captured the IBF belt last August with a twelve round decision over Shawn Porter. He's made two defenses this year and a third is scheduled next month against Diego Chaves.

He isnt even mentioning GGG! LOL! If you dont want him to fight real middleweights , dont go to 160! I like Cotto as a fighter but one Cotto-type of guy is enough!

Brook isn't fast enough on his feet, at times it takes him a while to set up and that's gonna be more of a problem above 147.

                how so?

fighters are faster and more athletic in the lower weights.

if brook can handle a wild swinging fool like porter he can handle any kind of crazy offensive fighter the upper weights have to dish out as long as his chin can take it.

I stated in a post not long ago about Kell ballooning up in weight inbetween fights. Not that it's fault,it's just the way his true structure is.I think Brook would still look huge at that those two weights mentioned as well.

So Brooks going to keep ducking Pac, Khan, Rios, Alexander (for 3rd time), Thurman, Maidana and basically any live welterweight and keep fighting bums (for over a year now!) like Gavin, Dan and now a Rios victim, Chaves..

                    So what's new..? lol
