amir khan's calling out tactic talking trash approach would be appreciated by certain "people" if khan was of darker shade and born from another certain country.....

he would be "promoting" the sport and himself...

but somehow these same posters that gave fighters like floyd props for talking trash for the righteous money making virtue of "self promotion" somehow have developed a higher sense of fandom and gentleman sensibilities wanting the "arrogant" "loudmouth" to be knocked out.

I don't think it's the shade of the fighter. You do realize that if a white fighter had half the success as a mayweather he would be a massive star. I think the real problem is how khan begs. Look I actually like khan and think he's a pretty talented fighter. But fighters like Floyd and manny earned their positions by beating top competition and/or performing well on ppv.

When you look at floyds body of work or even pacquioa's body of work, it's light years ahead of what khan has accomplished. The dude just needs to take out a few top names (your only as relevant as your last win), and he will position himself to have more leverage. It's how this boxing game has always worked brotha.

Styles make fights!! Pac really embarrassed Algieri, Khan well he won convincingly but Algieri was better prepared, had a much bigger, orthodox fighter in front of him. If your not named Mayweather or Marquez Pacquiao gets in that Azz. Pacquiao clearly ain't the killer of yesterday but he's not washed up. Pacquiao is a fighter and since he's at the tail end of his career put him in against guys that like to fight ala Provognikov, Matthyesse, Maidana, Danny Garcia, Porter, & Broner. If Pac is going to face another slick boxer let him face somebody like Thurman, Terrance Crawford or Mikey Garcia. Those guys are his size and present good challenges b/c as Pacquiao has aged his speed has declined making him less dangerous to the bigger boys. That's all my opinion but @ this stage of his career and especially now Pac needs a fight he can win and an HBO fight that he can win against somebody that will convince the mainstream media that he still has it.

@Welterweight I don't know if Pac can hurt Khan and if hurt Khan knows how to get on that bike to get out of danger and that translates to more work for the worn out little man.

Like Khan so rightly said Floyd waited until Manny got old to fight him and now ole glas jaws in the que.
Khan never fights a live one , it's always someone old or coming off a loss .When he fought unbeaten fighters ,Garcia and Prescott both times he was knocked senseless.
This fight the unbeaten fighters he is so blatantly avoiding.

Critics over-exaggerate the "Pacs slippin" talk. And of course a Khantrrd with a keyboard is gonna greatly exaggerate Khans skills in an attempt to convince themselves of capabilities Khan just does not possess.(nice try Chay) Mayweather was a bad stylistic match for Pac but he still had success in that fight...lets not forget that. Its not like he wasnt competitive, Floyd had to work to keep away. Khan doesnt have an excuse, its not like hes not facing the best guys available. Age doesn't matter all that much in boxing. Floyd might be older but has like 15 less fights than Pac and has a defensive style. it's like football players who are still dominant at 38 and most running backs are done at the age of 30. It's called wear and tear and Manny's style is that of a running back and Floyd's style is that of a punter.
