I agree. Much rather not see him on the ppv. No way it's a competitive fight so do you want ward in a boring 12 round mismatch or stick a lesser known Puerto Rican vs Mexican that's even matched on the under card? I rather that, you could pay 2 fighters like that save money and entertain fans before the main event rather then a mismatch ward fight that has the potential of sucking the air out the arena. Ward should be the main event of his own fights anyway.

The great progress they are talking about is that Team Ward have eliminated all possible candidates in the SMW division and that's to say SMWs who are totally out of condition and now they are moving on to filing through candidates from the LHW div - only those with more than 5 losses on their record and possibility of coming in at 3lbs underweight need apply.

Yeah, except if you have a tuneup every 6-7 months how does that help 'shake off the rust'

They better put him in with someone that would make the fight exciting. His ass would get booed by a ton of Mexicans if the fight is boring. It could really turn off a lot of people to watch him in the future.

Because no one will watch if Ward headlines.

Simple. It will kill time from the PPV broadcast. Chances are that Gonzalez-Viloria and GGG-Lemieux won't go the distance.

An Andre Ward fight can easily kill 45 minutes and build anticipation for the main event.

That's a great way to kill off any potential customers.

No not a bad thing. There are actual boxing fans out there.

"Great progress" that's all this article had to say. I can't believe I clicked on this garbage.
