can you seriously say roman gonzalez is more of a visually talented fighter than rigondeaux?Comment

And Roman has fought guys like Ricardo Cordoba and Amagasa and managed to keep off the floor. Almost getting upset by Amagassa was visually what?Comment

I said I don't have him #1 so there's no point in asking me that question.Comment

Genaro Hernandez was the reigning 130 Lineal champ at 130, he beat Azumah Nelson for it, the greatest African fighter in boxing history. You don't sound like you know much about 130lbs in the late 90s. If you were too young, at least do some homework.Comment

I think Gonzalez is to offensive fighters what Rigo is to defensive. Visually, he's just as talented and a hell of a lot more appealing. If he had a dead Agbeko type in front of him, Roman would have made a statement and no one would have left early.

not the actual fighters.
and when has gonzalez faced someone who was 5'10 and had a 71' inch reach advantage??????Comment

Let's forget about that for a second though. Even if the competition wasn't worse than Gonzalez, do you actually think Floyd beating Genaro makes him #2 P4P?Comment

I think Rigondeaux is way too overly criticized for his performance against the asian Andre The Giant. He is 5'4" and KO'ed a guy who was almost 5'11" and has never been stopped. Sure Rigo has been down several times against Cordoba, Donaire, and Amagasa, all good punchers but he schooled them all and he beat the breaks off of Amagasa but the guy was huge so of course in hindsight, it's not that weird that Rigo got KD'ed against such big force driving down his small face and frame. Plus he was not even hurt.

Popularity doesn't mean better. I say this all the time but you have people saying Gonzales hasn't beaten anyone but how would you know unless you follow those weight classes.
There's guys on here who think Porter is better than Estrada because they seem him on their TV more.
Gonzales has earned his position as #1 and wasn't just handed it and allowed to seat on it like some many others including Mayweather and Jones.Comment
