2008-2012 was where Roman had his hall of fame run
maybe people actually started paying attention to him finally? floyd was #2 p4p after beating genaro hernandez, angel manfredy, and justin juuko. i mean really? romans resume is a billion times better than that so its obviously not based on resume. its based on who watches you and nobody watched roman. he should have been on the list long ago. yes he had a better run in that time frame but he was still winning and still undefeated so isnt it all connected? ward was still p4p after fighting nobody for 5 years so i dont see why roman couldnt be put on the list based on his past. they just overlooked him for a long time

I agree he got overlooked.. I was one of the first posters back a few years ago that would put him on my p4p lists around 8-10. Then when he moved up to 112 or 115 and snagged another title before his hbo debut, I moved him up to top 5 or 6.

I just never saw how he could leapfrog guys like Floyd, manny, rigo, Ward, kovolev, etc and be #1, when he hasn't had an elite performance since 2010, and his last big win was a toss up split decision over Estrada.. Roman did nothing in 2013-2016 yet somehow he was elevate to best boxer on the planet
