All in the span of less than 3 years. And be has another solid opponent coming up. Over that same time Pac has 1 good win over Bradley, has been KO'd, lost 10-2 and had 2 tuneup fights.

In a span of 3 years what? He didn't do anything.

You think i'm making a case for Pac to be #1? I'm not, I referenced Pacquiao's P4P dominance and what he had to go through in order to get to #1, and what Floyd had to go through to get to #1, and then what Roman Gonzalez had to go through to get P4P supremacy.

For me I wouldn't mind seeing Wlad or Kovalev there.

Pac is still top 10 P4P, but no not top 3, or even top 5. I actually find it crazy that TBRB has Pac at #2, and ESPN has him at #3, but I find Gonzalez at #1 even more nuts.

In a span of 3 years he won titles in 2 divisions and became lineal champion at flyweight.

Wlad has wins but relies on his size too much to be considered the best boxer in the world regardless of size. Kovalev hasn't even beaten a top 10 p4p worthy fighter. Wlad hasn't either. Gonzalez beat Estrada who is #6 on the TBRB list.

I'll take the 3 division world champion that's stopped 37 of 43 opponents and has looked unstoppable over both of them.

In a span of the last 3 years he beat one good fighter bro. Yaegashi, that's it. For The Ring title.

37 of 43...man look at his resume, look at like his first 30 opponents resumes, they are absolutely awful.

Give me Kovalev's 28-0 with 25 KOs and wins over Hopkins, Pascal, Cleverly, Sillakh, Campillo.

You just said 2 now it's one Estrada isn't a good fighter now?

The guys you listed are nothing more than ranked contenders. You just more familiar with the names. Sosa was having an excellent yrar before dropping a decision to Yaegashi.

Kovalev is top 5 though. I hold nothing against him.

I'll give him Estrada too. We did say 3 years so yeah, Estrada included. Still that's 2 good fighters in 3 years. That is not good.

But you consider Sillakh and Campillo good wins deserving of the p4p #1 spot. That's just shows your bias to the heavier divisions. They are nothing more than contenders like Edgar Sosa and Francisco Rodriguez. Who has Silakh even beaten? He was a hyped prospect that got cracked by Grachev.

Where in my post did I say that Sillakh and Campillo convince me that Kovalev is the top guy? I grouped them together with 3 other good wins didn't I? So why rephrase my post to make it seem as if I said that Campillo and Sillakh do it for me? That was not what I said. I clearly mentioned his whole body of work, Hopkins, Pascal, Cleverly, Sillakh and Campillo.

Silakh, Campillo and even Cleverly are no better than Sosa and Rodriguez. They are just fringe contenders/title holders. Your giving credit to one for this level of opposition but not the other.

It comes down to Estrada and Yaegashi for Gonzalez and Hopkins and Pascal for Kovalev. Those are the only high quality fighters on both resumes over the past 3 years. Next he is fighting another top contender in Viloria and we will see how that plays out. That's definitely not a gimme by any stretch.
