I think he means if you are in a weak division just move up.

Gonzalez is young yes, but he is fighting guys at the tail end of their careers who are at ages known as that age when a fighter is getting beat up by younger fighters.

    Viloria 34 years old
    Sosa 36 years old
Valentin 37 year old journeyman with 29 losses
Yaegashi 31 years old but good back and forth fight
Purisma a journeyman who is now 11-8

    And the list goes on.

The media is conditioning boxing fans. You have been conditioned, most of you have. It's called classical conditioning.

I keep hearing that Rigo can easily make 118.

How about a El Chacal/Chocolatito fight at a CW of 116.

Rigo will be the new number 1 until Ward beats Kovalev.

It's not a weak divison though that's the issue

The best possible opponent he can fight around his weight fights in the same division. It's only a matter of time before him and Estrada can agree on a rematch. Ruenroeng would also be a very good fight against a guy who's faced the best opposition at flyweight.

The things is he's been at flyweight for a short amount of time, going on three years. One would think he'd been fighting there his whole career. It's inevitable he moves up and the competition at 115 would be high class.

Flyweight is very solid. He can fight Estrada, Ioka and Ruenroeng. Then when he finally moves up, he will have Inoue waiting for him. He is on track to have a crazy resume.
