Comments Thread For: Kovalev's Promoter: The Andre Ward Fight is Inevitable

While much of the focus - and frustration - involving IBF/WBA/WBO light heavyweight titlist Sergey Kovalev (28-0-1, 25KOs) is connected to a potential fight against WBC champion Adonis Stevenson, there is another name looming out there for 'the Krusher' - Andre Ward (28-0, 15KOs).

The last we saw of Ward on June 20th in Oakland he fought at a catch-weight of 172 pounds versus Paul Smith. There is talk of him appearing on the Miguel Cotto-Saul Alvarez pay-per-view undercard on November 21st in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay.

Ward is a natural LHW he should stop fooling himself. Even if he can make 168 who is he going to fight? Haymon fighters? Hahaha

Did I miss the part that said the fight is signed? If not this proves little on either side of the argument.

I hope this fight happens. Ward can temporarily go in Light Heavyweight to fight Kovalev and the other top LH there while waiting for GGG in unifying the Middleweight belts. Then if the time is right, Ward and GGG can happen.

They need to erase this undefeated **** mentality and fight the best out there. I just want to see 2 real elite fighters (at their primes) to fight each other. Losing to Kovalev is nothing to be ashamed of.

Continue fighting the best out there and people will tune in no matter you win or lose. Especially for Ward because people knew he's great fighter already. Fighting the best out there will bring more attention to the casual equates to more viewers and more money for the fighters. The result win-win situation for the fighters and fans

I just miss the old days were Pacquiao-Barrera-Morales-Marquez beating each other.
