Cotto above 147 has been the biggest joke in boxing. His opposition there has been terrible. The sergio win means little, anyone in the top 5 would have done the same to sergio at that point with his knee issues. People forget the struggles he had with lesser opponents as well that GGG easily dispatched and that was before his knee got even worse. Outside of busted knee sergio, what else has cotto done since 147? nothing.

Canelo is a young guy with fast hands, he is not the carefully matched guys cotto has been taking on since his trout loss.

betting isnt legal here, but knowing this, I wouldnt put money on my bet. not due to any faith in canelo but the atlas curse has historically been the most accurate source of boxing antipredictions. Maybe thats why roach is so confident.

This is easy money. If you put a person to watch boxing for the first time that didnt know anything about either guy and you tell him wich guy is better he would hand down pick Cotto. Cotto has kore skills and is better at everything compared to Canelo. I really have no idea why Cotto is being down played so much in this fight. Canelo is actually tailor made for him.

3-1 is crazy odds. I might bet my savings (70k so far) on Cotto. I really dont see him losing this fight besides a robbery

Smart move Roach. You bet about as well as you train lol. I went over a lot of scenarios and I can't see Cotto winning this unless he lands some absurd crippling shot or gets some BS decision. Canelo is bigger, faster, stronger, has a better chin and is younger. The only opponents Canelo looked mediocre against were Floyd and Lara. Both superb boxer/mover/technicians. While Cotto is a good boxer with solid technique, he is def not Floyd or Lara by any means. Cotto looked great in his last few fights but let's be real about those three opponents. I cannot see Cotto taking Canelo's shots all night at all. His face comes apart too easily. Hell Floyd almost dropped Cotto with an uppercut in rd 12 of their fight, what do you think Canelo is going to do lol?

I think Roach/Cotto had absolutely no choice but to fight Canelo and that is the only reason why. So unless Canelo has a terrible night or Cotto lands a miracle, I can't see Cotto getting his hand raised 11/21.

This is probably the biggest payday that Cotto can get and likewise is probably the fight that Cotto wants the most

(TBE) . alvared is'nt smart enough to beat cotto. cotto is no kirkland and angulo. and we saw how bad alvared looks against skilled fighters. once he gets frustrated and start swinging for the fences then cotto will box his ears off.
