We need a GoFundMe for a boxing game now

I think the fans are due, and it's been years since the last one. Imagine if we could have all the PBC, TMT, Top Rank, Golden Boy, Main Event, SMS, and Roc Nation fighters in one game. Then just add the legends in the sport. Something similar to Knockout Kings and Fight Night.
We don't even need a full roster right away, once we have the game you can download a package of fighters in the future
EA sports or THQ should make it

You could not even make real life fights between PBC most of those promotions and you think you can get the rights to put them all in one video game? Good luck with that. If there was money in a boxing game, you can be certain that there would be one on the market already.

Easy to get a UFC video game though. Strange, seeing as boxing is supposed to be so much more popular.

I've always had a theory UFC had some kind if deal for EA to stop making boxing games.

Fight Night was an extremely popular and profitable game for EA, made no sense for them to all of a suddenly stop making it.

Because UFC probably made it as part of there deal to sign with EA, because they see boxing as competition.

And EA probably didn't want 2 fighting games, went with what they thought would be more popular and had a better future.

I'm pretty sure fight night was more popular than any of the UFC games, it also had a HUGE online community. Heck, the fight night games had more advertising than any PBC event!

Easier to deal with one entity, the UFC, than individually with dozens of fighters and their managers/advisors/promoters to get deals done. With UFC there is one contract to get signed, with boxing you probably have to renegotiate with some fighters each and every year and you can just imagine what someone like Mayweather would want in return.

THQ's UFC game also sold in the area of 2 MILLION copies, making EA take notice and when THQ went under, EA jumped at the chance to take the franchise over and converted the Fight Night team to the UFC team.

            From Wiki:

"The company said that the decision was based primarily on its perception that the UFC has greater international prominence, although EA Sports did offer that the boxing series could potentially return."

So why havent they brought fight night back? Most likely because as I've said, they have a deal with UFC, not to. Only thing that makes sense, EA does not drop profitable games for no reason.
They would not have switched unless the UFC game brought more sales and profit than the Fight Night game. A large online community means nothing if it does not lead to revenue for the company selling the product. The licensing for the UFC game is probably a lot less than the boxing game. Floyd alone would likely have demanded as much as the entire contract with UFC is worth. That may explain his being dropped from the most recent version of the game.

I did a quick search online and UFC sales have been a disaster in sales. Fight night was dropped one year after UFC came to EA, EA gave no explanations. IMO they wanted to focus on UFC, I also think UFC negotiated it as part of the deal.

Fight Night is clearly far and away more popular among gamers.

And yes the online community means a lot to gaming companies. I'm not going to get into stats and gaming research but basically a strong online community leads to a VERY loyal customer base. Which is why online games have far and away taken over single player games. It also leads to advertising revenue and more sales of upgrades and future products.

Fight Night had one if the strongest online gaming communities. People took there ranks seriously to say the least. To say an online community isn't important is incredibly misinformed.

Boxing Games DON'T SELL then you have to pay boxers or their estate individually to put them on the game, I'm sure that drives the budget up getting all of those fighters and then once you do all that the game doesn't sell well so I'm sure EA Sports lost money trying to put together a game full of legends
