Just looked him up as I had no idea who he was, got stopped by Costa Junior (Brazilian journeyman who got his **** pushed in by Whyte, Price, Parker & so on).

Impossible to get excited for this one.

Jennings promoter wanted the fight but when he presented the offer to Jennings and his manager they turned down their own promoter. Stiverne and his management agreed to the fight, Don King his promoter agreed to the fight. But then in the last hour when the actual paperwork got sent King refused to sign and let Stiverne fight. Both would of been great fights but one blew up because a fighter thinks he's worth more then he really is and the other because his promoter is a old bitter man that just needs to kick the bucket already.

The real reason neither fight is made is Ortiz has incredible power and it's a risky fight that both Jenning and Stivern could lose and neither wants back to back losses.

He had a solid amateur career but where do you get incredible power from? Who has he actually beat other then a washed up monte barrett & the blow up CW kayode?

I don't understand why GB is pushing to have this guy on the ppv so bad. Sadam Ali was talking about taking a stay busy fight, he would've been perfect for this card.

Then why are guys turning done paydays left and right to not fight him? Undefeated with a 86% Knockout ratio. And sure he hasn't beaten any top guys yet but he would be fighting one if they both didn't just duck him. Hard to beat other top fighters when one guy turned down his OWN promoter who said the money was good, the other guy said the money was good and even his promoter said the money was good then refused to sign off in the last minute. I think if Ortiz didn't have KO power and he wasn't a risky fight neither of that happens.

I think the idea is they want explosive punchers for this card. You got 2 knockout action fighters in the main event and they clearly are loading the undercard up with action knockout fighters. Ali should be fighting for a world title and he is still waiting on the decision from the WBO on how they will handle Bradley vs Rios. Ali is the mandatory.
