duhaupas is in the top 25. Boxingrec is not a legit ranking & NO HW in the world fights that many times in one year against top 15-25 guys. although duhaupas did fight 3 top 20 guys in 5.5 months. Most top 10 guys only fight top guys twice a year.Last edited by joe strong; 09-27-2015, 03:06 PM.Comment

What I don't get about Wilder is that there are a ton of people who have held in low regard for his whole career, yet they seem to hold him to a very high standard.
If you thought the dude was garbage at the beginning which was pretty much everyone, then he has clearly exceeded those expectation and deserves a bit of praise for actually making something of his career. He hasn't been getting that much hype until recently (the last year really).
I can understand not being huge on Wilder or not thinking he is that great or will get beat by Wlad or Povetkin. just people take it so far and when it comes to Wilder they throw praise around like it was a manhole cover.Comment

At least he has proved to be better than Seth Mitchell and Cris Arreola as far as American Heavyweight Prospects go. Great fight to watch for the average viewer and up. I hope he brushes up on his Defence. there were more than a few scary shots he took in that fight. I'd like to see him take this somewhere. He's got undeniable talent.. for 6'7" I can't remember the last guy that big who could fight on the inside maybe like a Rid**** Bowe...Comment

Totally agree.
I think he is a better than i thought he was. Lots of positives from that fight. And to finish so strongly in the 11th round was very impressive.
Wilder vs Wlad would be a the first real exciting HW fight in a very very long time.
Anything could happen in that fight.
yea kangaroo punching (wtf) against a way lesser opponent, jumping all over him while hes holding his guard up thinking wtf then getting the ref stop the fight for you, yea... very impressive, the fight shouldnt of been stopped in my opinion, wilders loony excited movement give the impression his opponent was in serious trouble.
such sloppy technique, footwork (he gets walked down easy, leans on ropes too much), the guy is a awful boxer, he relies on his power too much, a serious boxer would expose him.
fury, povetkin, wlad would beat him in my opinion, i even think jennings or eddie chambers would give wilder a extremely hard fight and possibly win.Comment

I did think the stoppage was proper though.
The guy was spent and was taking a major beating.Comment

Chances were at the beginning he wouldn't amount to anything at all and wouldn't even get to a guy like Stiverne especially since popular opinion is that a stiff breeze would knock him out.
I still get not thinking he will be the man, but I don't understand your road at all.Comment

Did anyone see Sulaiman in the ring after the Wilder fight? I do not remember seeing him. Sulaiman is in the ring after EVERY WBC title fight and if he did not show for this one, that does not look good for the relationship between PBC and WBC.Comment
