Comments Thread For: Hunter Feels Khan Will Shine in Danny Garcia Rematch

Trainer Virgil Hunter is confident that his boxer, British star Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs), will rise to the occasion if he gets a revenge fight with Danny Garcia.

Garcia stopped Khan in four rounds back in 2012 in a 140-pound unification bout. It was the final time for Khan to taste defeat. Khan was winning the fight handedly until he got caught by a huge left hook in the third round and never recovered.

Khan's glass chin will shine before it is shattered once again by DSG.

He's not gonna fight Garcia though, so Hunter isn't saying much.

Khan would beat Garcia if he just jab and land from the outside.

He has been critical of Khan when he needs to, if Khan wants to be the champ he feel he is then he would listen and make the necessary changes that is required, he can't be flying to England every week then to Pakistan or India every other week when he is suppose to be taking his craft seriously, he is a fighter with many flaws and working on those flaws should be his first priority, am 100% with Hunter on this one.

"Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth."

Khan looked like he was well on his way to winning the first fight, until he got KTFO

garcia is stronger at 147 and not drained anymore. he's knocking khan out cold. khans chin could'nt take it at 140 and it won't at 147

Thing is even though Khan was outboxing him, Garcia realised Khan's punches couldn't hurt him so he started timing counters and throwing as Khan did and so hit him with a huge overhand left. He figured Khan's timing out and he could do it again maybe even earlier.
