I can related to Maidana like no other elite level boxer. Guy made well over $5M in 2014 I'd guess & seems like he's taking 2015 off. If I made 7 digits one year, the next year is gonna be a hookers & blow year or at least a strip clubs, weed & lotsa sleeping in. F#ck getting hit in the head for awhile for sure I know that much.

I don't think Maidana is going to come back unless its a big name. He isn't trying to reestablish him self at any weight. I figure he just milks whatever he's worth here on out. Probably a Thurman, Garcia or Porter fight? I'd be okay with that

This guy is a disappointment. He had two decent paydays and checked out mentally and physically. Boxing fans will praise this guy while disparaging Floyd who made $200 mil and still came back and fulfilled his contract to Showtime. Yea the competition was weak but he came in shape, kept his word on his contract and stayed professional. Wlad and Floyd are the two most professional boxers I've seen in my life. And it's no coincidence that their professionalism has earned them so much money.

A.) This article is about Maidana. Not every stinking article has to mention Floydie the PED King.

B.) It isn't considered professional if you cheat with PEDs. For years probably.

The guy beat Broner and Floyd back to back.. he really didn't have much motivation after that..even the rematch with Floyd: Maidana looked out of shape...

It's going to be hard for him to have that same timing and get his body into tip top shape...

Maidana was motivated after the Alexander fight, he made his run..but now I believe he will need big money to motivate him and that might get him one more fight..

ya'll had a pretty good generation with lucas, chino and chaves for welters they're still solid and active but on their way out, i'm sure these guys will motivate more argentines to be great boxers, i hate on argetines from time to time for kicks cuz we latin american are competitive with each other but in all honesty argentina has some of the best athletes in the world, besides futbolistas there's always a pretty good argentine in every other sport, i think even in american football the best kicker at one time was an argentine, one thing for sure that argentina has is the awesome futbol coaches
