Comments Thread For: Marcos Maidana's Potential Return in 2015 is Dwindling

The return of former champion Marcos 'Chino' Maidana (35-5, 31KOs) is looking very unlikely this year. Maidana has been out of the ring for over a year. Last September he lost a twelve round decision in his rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Maidana has been relaxing and spending time with his family in Argentina. There was some discussion of Maidana coming back before the end of the year, but the fighter has gained a lot of weight during his inactivity and it will require several months of tough training to burn it off. Not that September is coming to an end, scheduling a fight before the end of year looks unlikely.

Yeah he isnt coming back this year, I saw a video on ellie channel where robert garcia was talking about Maidana and basically said Maidana was never really to fond of boxing he wanted an out for awhile and now with the huge money he made from the broner and mayweather fight he never has to fight again and that maidana might be cool with that. Said he doesnt know if Maidana is even coming back to boxing.

If he wants to stay retired and enjoy life then so be it, hes had a very good career and achieved things most people could only dream of and he gave Floyd one of his hardest fights, hes made plenty of money too so if he decides to call it a day so be it, id rather that be the case than him making a comeback and being a shell of his former self.

                Stop eating you fat ****.

He needs a full camp and an easy fight just to get back to 147.

Maidana in the mix will make WW so much more interesting
