In the USA Conor McGregor, in Europe Conor McGregor, in Mexico Canelo.
Conor speaks English and UFC really promotes him, he and Ronda Rousey are pushed heavily by the company they get them agents, commercials, talk shows, they do tons of press with different media and it built them into names.
Golden Boy doesn't do anything in terms of publicity and marketing for Canelo other than letting him do signings at a small casino or show promoted by golden boy.
Canelo also needs to speak English, Conor has been on so many big name talk shows, Canelo hasnt even been on fellow red head Conon o briens show yet. even Klitschko went on there.
Boxing does a poor job of marketing their stars in the social media era, they are living in the past where boxing stars were made through news paper and news media, now social media is the dominant presence and the internet.Comment

I think going off of A-side PPV numbers at this early stage Conor is ahead. That said if I had to be either guy I think Canelo is the choice. MMA is more competitive thus Conor's time at the top will end maybe 5+ years before Canelo stops selling PPV's & I suspect with the UFC payscale Canelo will 10x+ more money than Conor over their careers.Comment

Yeah and Canelo is white red head guy so the midwest white folks will follow him if he spoke English. The only commercial I ever seen him in was like 3 seconds on an under armor commercial, the rest are in Mexico.
Golden Boy is horrible in terms of building fighters, Canelo could be a draw if they pushed him more, the more you push and hype someone the more they sell, when Canelo was beating up tomato cans Golden Boy should have been hyping him up like they did Ronda Rousey as the next Tyson, also Oscar ****ed up when he put Canelo in with Floyd everyone knew Floyd would win on points nobody can get Floyd to engange and Canelo was drained and he is not a pressure fighter.
They are mishandling Canelo, the only time I ever heard anyone speak of Canelo is when some casuals said aint he that red head mexican guy who lost to MayweatherComment

I agree, I would rather be a star boxer than MMA fighter. MMA fighters will never get the majority of money compared to boxers, MMA fighters literally have the worst deal. I seen some guys on HBO who get paid more than the star fighters in MMA. Ronda and Conor are the exceptions because UFC is looking at them as a worthy investment so they pay them more, but the truth is Ronda is using UFC and Dana White doesn't realize he is not going to get a return on Ronda, once she is retired the people who watched her fights are not going to be UFC fans they aint watching anymore, so in the long run he takes an L and Ronda like a typical female is using Dana for her own future without spending any money lol.
Ronda will be doing movies and making big money off her brand alone feminist ******* hollywood will always support her she will never be without money she is the females hero. She will make 6 figures easy speaking at events.Comment

Great point. How Oscar hasn't gotten Canelo fluent in English yet is telling me Oscar isn't using his brain or that Canelo is being stubborn in such a way to effect his overall possible bank account.
And yea if Canelo spoke English well he could potentially have a fellow ginger connection with Conan that could broaden his horizons in a whole new way like Jimmy Kimmel did for Pacquiao. But any talk show guy who's put him on the week of his fight, 3 times a year would be good for him & just all around.Comment
