    True

Mayweather isn't hard to replace. He was not a transcendent star.

His 49-0 record wasn't even impressive. Heck, Julio Cesar Chavez recorded 82 straight victories before getting his first defeat and it was only because he was past his prime.

It's the anti-Mayweather fans that continue to bring him up more lol

However, for better or for worse, I don't think we'll see a fighter dominate the sport of boxing in the manner that Floyd did. Expect to see the P4P top spots change yearly with these new guys.

According to WBA 'regular' welterweight champion Keith 'One Time' Thurman, a good portion of fans will find someone to fill the void that Mayweather left behind.

No, the " majority " of " fans " would have turned on Mayweather, just like they turned on Marquez.

You could be right about the genuine boxing fans, not sure..... but not the casuals, no siree.

Hes had an amazing career but I'm hoping he stays retired and that Pac also retires soon, looking forward to the fresh blood going at it now, and I think if good fights are made the fans will just appreciate those fights and that alone will keep boxing going, there is no stand out star at the moment that will be the face of boxing, just a lot of very good fighters, but someone will come, at the end of the day more stars were produced after all of the other ATG's and I don't think this is any different.

Of course fans will move on. They always do.

There's going to be a hole left now Floyd's gone, all that means is someone will fill it.

Same when Tyson left, same when Oscar left, now the same Floyd has left.

Question is who will it be?

Exactly, there will be plenty of ATG fighters and there will always be one guy that's the face of boxing during any era, but at the end of the day boxing doesn't depend on any fighter, once they're gone another guy will pop up. Mayweather didn't make boxing, boxing made Mayweather.

I think it will be 12-18 months and we will all of a sudden see someone and be saying "why wasn't he around 18 months ago" lol.
