He wasn't, he was as much a brawler as there was. He just had really fast hands and combination speed.

That's why he was so loved, dude came forward and let his hands go. I'd Say the Vargas fight was the first time he became more technical and measured.
Eh, thats unfair to oscar. You dont win an olympic medal without being a technical fighter.

He had a very very educated left hand, and had a relatively close fight at the end of his career with Floyd Mayweather. He didn't brawl his way to a close fight.

I always love watching this fight from the finals of the world amateur championships.

Very high skill level, and always fun to see to future greats when they were developing.

One guys Floyd ducked, the other one Floyd would have ducked.

Nope. Winky beats them all imo.
Forrest will give them all a hard time.

People forget in boxing that size still matters. WInky and Forrest were big welters and they would most likely beat Pac/May although Pac's sheer speed and power might have given him a chance. Mays stationery, defensive ability doesn't work against a big guy like Forrest. What's May gonna do? Revert to Mayweather of Maidana II or Berto and fight on the outside. NO.

Oscar beats Forrest imo, Oscar was a great big welter. Forrest was merely a very good one. Winky would trouble the hell out of Oscar, the GB hated fighters like that. Clever, quick and defensive minded.

Forrest is extremely underrated because of his losses to Mayorga, who was just a stylistic nightmare for him.

But those are the only two legitimate losses he has.

He not only hit like a mule, he was long rangy, and knew how to use that range perfectly. Deceptively quick, technically excellent. Deep amateur background.

Only man to ever put Mosley down, besides Pacquiao, and Forrest did it impressively. Mosley was out on his feet at the end of round #2 went to the wrong corner.

            This was a bad man.

Floyd and Pac would have gone 4-0 against those guys.

Prime Oscar had the best chance against Winky and Forrest. His major disadvantage would have been his gas tank. He could match them both in size and was evenly skilled. Winky was just a broad, strong fighter who applied pressure behind a stiff awkward jab. Forrest had super wingspan and fought tall with good power. Oscar probably wins one and loses 3.

Floyd losses 4, period. Winky uses the Bernard theory and just walks him down and bullies him and wears him down and makes him quit on his stool once. There isn't any rematch. Forrest's jab wins this fight in easy dominating fashion. Forrest is too long and technical for Floyd to win while fighting defensive. He has nothing that Forrest would respect.

Manny is to small. He gets beaten up and around by both. I don't think it's necessary to explain tbh.

Well, they were african-american, and besides Judah-Mosley, he hasn't fought many black guys. So there is his excuse right there.

How long have you been watching boxing?? It's commonly known as one of the worst boxing business decisions in recent times, and coined the term " winky's school of business"

Oscar ended up fighting yory boy campos once winky turned him down
Is this true? I don't remember it.

I always thought of Winky being a bad businessman due to him putting himself on a Don King Production-esque shelf voluntarily while waiting for a Big Money fighter to come calling. Most notably prior to and following the Hopkins loss.

So the question is do you think a prime may could beat these two and beat them in the respective rematches and go 4-0 against them? Could he make it look easy like he did in the canelo fight?

Also bonus question. Could Prime oscar or pac do it?

Floyd would lose at least once to Vernon Forrest in my opinion. Floyd could probably get by winky twice.

Pac would lose to both men twice in my opinion.

Oscar could probably get a split with both
