We all know the real hypothesis is whether Floyd's passive boxing can adequately deal with mixed martial arts.

Mayweather boxing safe against PAC hurt boxing and elevated the UFC. They've had 2 exciting PPV's after May 5.He did what he had to do to not lose, it worked for him but not for the fans.

Take Floyd out of the equation and them compare PPV stats over the past few years between boxing and UFC and tell me which has sold more PPVs.

And it is amazing that a boxing fan cannot also appreciate and enjoy watching UFC matches around here. I grew up learning Martial Arts and I happen to be a fan of ALL Martial Arts. I will watch wrestling, boxing, judo, karate, kick boxing, MMA, you name it, I will enjoy watching it.

I will not apologize for not being locked into one combat sport like most of the Neanderthals around here. Then again, many of the posters here don't have two brain cells to rub together so they really cannot be expected to have more than one sport to follow.

            Rousey's gunning for attention. Fact.

The ONLY reason Mayweather didn't get good buys is because of who his opponent was. Same outcome had he faced someone like Chris Algieri, who basically exposed Amir Khan. Same outcome had he faced GGG, because nobody stateside knows or cares who he is besides boxing purists. No brand recognition yet.

If Mayweather had rematched Cotto, it's 100% certified to have gone past a million buys.

If Mayweather had rematched Canelo, certified to have gone past a million buys.

If he had faced Broner, certified to go past a million buys.

If he had faced Amir Khan he would have gone past a million just because of British fans. American fans already know Khan is all hype, especially after struggling with Algieri. Mayweather/Khan would have been even more boring than Mayweather/Pacquiao.

Dudes like Keith Thurman whose face looked a mess after Ghost Guerrero - a guy Floyd walked through - didn't deserve that fight any more than Berto did.

Dudes like Shawn Porter who got sparked in the 12th by an otherwise inactive Broner didn't deserve that fight.

Him doing so poorly on the take this fight is because nobody really believed Berto had a chance against him. That's all. Put it on Berto, not Floyd. Floyd didn't care, he's made his money. Everyone's hero failed to stop Money.

              Wrestling fans really are idiots.
Yes. Street fight. The context of they not being in a ring or an octagon. You see, if I had said they fight on PPV where there are refs and rules then you would have gone on your lecture about how domestic violence hurts your feelings.

Now what? you gonna bring up how they can pull knives and bats on each other in a street fight?

Tell you what, so far all you've offered in this debate are your moral values and a lack of being able to break down a hypothetical match even if just for the sake of discussion. I seriously doubt you're capable of looking at fights from a skills perspective.

I'm not gonna stoop to your level and call you an idiot, but you are painfully ignorant.

Fraud Pedcheater Jr's latest failure is proof that fans know Fraud was to blame for the lack of action when he challenged Fighter of the Decade Pacquiao. Also proof that real fans don't support steroid cheaters

Oh lord, Floyd doesn't even care what Rousy or anyone else has to say for that matter, Floyd is well worth over 700 million dollars, and I guarantee in about a year or so he'll make a return and add more millions to his already hefty bank account,Rousy and the MMA need to stay In their lane and stop hating on Money May and using his name for further exposure

Rousey's fights dont get her on TMZ. Her calling out Mayweather gets her free publicity on TMZ.

Boxingscene isnt helping at all either when they publish this garbage as a worthy "article". This isnt boxing news at all, this is a MMA fighter talking nonsense to get free advertising. If boxingscene wants to give her attention, they should atleast charge for it.

mayweather has been trying to make a berto fight for years, berto just kept loosing so he always was fighting the guys that beat berto. I think him and berto are friends outside of boxing and he wanted to get his boy a big payday. he knew there would be backlash from berto's ****ty record so he did it his very last fight.
