    April 27, 2013:

Amir Khan survived an early knockdown and a late onslaught to eke out an unconvincing points win over supposedly damaged goods in Julio Díaz, yet he was told within minutes of the decision that his next fight would be for a world title.

On his return to the UK after an absence of two years, the judges gave it to him 114-113, 115-113 and 115-112, but again Khan's lack of one-punch power allowed his opponent to force him into uncomfortable situations. He had the heart but not the hammer.

I had it a draw, but with the sixth and the 12th even, and two 10-8 rounds to the Mexican, so there was little in it either way. However, the loser will feel aggrieved on two counts: first, that he started too cautiously and second, that he did not receive full dividend for his domination of the second half of the contest.

    May 29, 2015:

On Friday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, Khan used blinding hand speed and superior movement to earn a unanimous-decision victory over the rugged Chris Algieri (20-2) in the main event of the Premier Boxing Champions on Spike TV. It wasn't a sparkling performance from Khan, but it was a win nonetheless...

While the performance was a winning one for Khan, it didn't leave many members of the boxing media impressed.

Showtime's Brian Custer, Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix and Fight Hub TV's Mick Akers wouldn't endorse a Khan-Mayweather bout..

The ease with which Algieri landed shots makes it seem as if Khan could find himself in dire straits against Mayweather—or Kell Brook for that matter. Normally, a fighter's stock doesn't go down after a unanimous-decision win, but that might be the case for Khan after Friday night.

    December 12, 2010:

Amir Khan, still a world champion but headed for hospital, mumbled through the bruises and cuts that dressed a face rearranged only moments before by Marcos Maidana: "I proved tonight I've got a chin."

What an understatement. The 4,632 fans scattered around an arena that holds twice that number in the bowels of the Mandalay Bay last night were brought to their feet in a frenzy in round 10 as the Argentinian challenger – who came to the fight with an 87% stoppage record – belted Khan from one side of the ring to the other.

Khan has not been very impressive in his career. His wins over Maidana, Diaz, and Algieri were close, not mention his losses to Garcia and Peterson.
    Complete fantasist.

I don't know where you people get the idea that Khan is some great threat.

Some of em are rabid fanboys, and the others needed something/someone to cling to after May 2nd. They managed to convince themselves his "speed" would cause Floyd troubles, when it hasn't troubled a bunch of lower level fighters so far.

He went from being considered a cherry pick to someone he ducked.

          ^^^basically...

His speed didn't bother Maidana whom he was running from and clinching and that's when Maidana wasn't developed... Prescott...PEDerson, Danny Garcia..How'd the speed help him there? Julio Diaz..how did his speed do when he hit the canvas twice and went life and death?...

I blame Malignaggi and Showtime for propping up Amir...

Malignaggi is suffering from "He beat me, so he's the greatest fighter ever syndrome"

And the Showtime commentators were acting like Amir would win rounds against Floyd because he beat guys like Alexander and Collazo..

As a fan of Khan I know I wanted this to happen but it would have likely meant seeing Khan lose If I was as much of a fanboy as some of these girls are I wouldn't want it to happen at all.

                Ok ok,
Is khan more deserving than Berto?
                Same coin, opposite sides!
They are both not good enough!

In military terms, Floyd has surveyed the battle field before the battle takes place. He takes the power position & defines the terms of engagement. Determines acceptable gloves! Determines who can & can't be a ref.

His best tactic is to keep his opponent undisclosed until 8 weeks max, before he decides. This is really amazing because it makes would be opponents train for a fight that may or may not happen! That is smart! Win the battle, before the battle is ever fought!

Sun Tsu, miyamoto musashi, Alexander the Great, Gengis Khan, Darius, MacArthur, Patton, etc etc, all great warriors know that the battle is won or lost before the first arrow is released!

Thank you for clearing that up!
It is a great question, but you answer covers a lot of the same questions I ask myself too!

Does fanboy = head up their favorite boxers back side & can't hear or see reality?
