good because he's getting ko'ed by povetkin if ever he has the guts to.

Not so fast!
Although Povetkin will be the favorite, Wilder's significant size advantages might very well help him win.. Povetkin did awful against Wlad, a tall HW (wilder is taller and hits harder).
But just because Wlad walked through him doesn't mean Wilder will, we'll see how well Povetkin stands up against the big stiff idiot Wach. If Povetkin has a clean victory over this much bigger opponent, I can see an early KO on Wilder.Comment

He might be in trouble anyway. He was hurt in his last fight against the guy whose name I don't recall.
I don't buy that he doesn't want to make more money either. Which as it stands, is what being a PPV attraction would bring. Wilder's flossing pretty hard already. Of course he wants more.
But I must say, they are building him up nicely. If he continues to knock people out on primetime TV he can become a star. Superstar maybe. A showdown between him and Klitschko would be huge then. Keeping him upright until he makes it there is the hard part.Comment

If he keeps winning, him vs wlad will be PPv and probably the biggest heavyweight PPv since lennox-Tyson
Wilder could have been a PPv star by now, but I think he was mismanaged on exposure... Every floyd fight for the past few years should have had wilder on every undercard. Wilder has the look and style to bring casuals once they see him a few times. Can you imagine how big wilder would be right now had he had a spot on floyd/manny undercard and crushed someone.. All those casuals would know who he is.. All during Floyd's showtime deal, wilder should have been on every undercard. Huge mistake in building this guy into a star
Yea I'm surprised he never fought on a floyd undercardComment

Really I wish the guy well in his post-headliner status and post-fighter career. Because the new era will happen within the next year or two. Only reason he says he's ok without PPV money is... he hasn't been offered PPV for obvious reasons. There is little chance he gets past Povetkin, and from there it's top-gatekeeper in the division. Which isn't a bad gig after all. Still a few low 6 figure fights for him before he retires.Comment
