    • I have to agree with Berto that Floyd is the blame for the low numbers. Floyd is to blame because he picked Berto as an opponent. The masses felt the Berto had no chance to beat Floyd therefor it was no need for them to watch the fight.
The greater the threat is to beat Floyd, the higher the PPV numbers.
What I don't get is all the uproar behind Floyd picking Berto. He say during the in ring interview after the Pac fight that he was going to have an easy fight. He said he was going to pick someone he wanted to fight and not what the public called for.
What's the big issue. I'm sure he knew and Showtime knew this fight would not do huge numbers. Hell there wasn't even a press tour. T
This fight was not about anything other than completing the six fight deal.

      • does'nt matter. berto got his ass whoopped. mayweather jr was guaranteed $32 mil and could make up as much as $15 million more on the back end.

          • Yea can't argue with that. If Mayweather had picked a better opponent the PPV numbers woulda been better so technically Berto is right. Ironic part is its Berto's name on the bill that was the problem. But Berto didn't put his name on the bill. Floyd did.

            • Floyd is definitely responsible for the fight only selling 500k. He didn't have a press tour, promotion was weak, and he should've fought a better opponent that fans wanted to see.

if the fight did 400-500K at $75 and floyd got $32 mill, there is no back end.

some of you guys don't know basic math or simple economic matters.

Lol I really wonder what these people do with their lives. There's no way they're employed beyond a minimum wage job that a child could do.

i don't really care about press tours.

but it would have been cool for the pac-may fight. floyd and pac in manila, tokyo, london, ny, etc. like 3 months before fight. that'd have been cool.

                    • I was gonna buy it too but none of my friends hit me up so we can split, in short it was never a fight worth paying for. Berto never had the tools to do anything, even in his best days he couldn't have done nothing against this Floyd and the public knew that.
