some of you guys don't know basic math or simple economic matters.
True, but according to the NY Times, Floyd gets a cut of everything that goes on in the arena-tocket sales, refreshments, posters etc and a cut of the movie theatre take.

I cn't see how he made that much extra off this fight. I'd say probably $5-7mil max.

but it would have been cool for the pac-may fight. floyd and pac in manila, tokyo, london, ny, etc. like 3 months before fight. that'd have been cool.
I'm just the opposite-you didn't need it for Floyd/many-but I agree with how cool that would've been- but you definitely need it for a Floyd/berto level fight.

they should have put it on PBC NBC.

it would have had huge ratings and ppl would be talking about that.

also an excuse for berto choice.

but i guess the $$$ wouldn't have been there to pay floyd.

You see this is what i mean about Espinoza saying they alter each fight deal. I have never seen the contract but this is what i assumed it was; Floyd choose Berto and Showtime said ok but if it doesnt sell then you just get guarantee and we keep rest type verbage.

It would have been a waste of money. Nothing could have gotten people interested in this.

Agreed. Fat Dan said they tried to negotiate a number for it on CBS and Floyd wouldn't adjust the $32 mil guarantee.

I thought he should have had it on CBS or SHowtime since the Manny fight ****** so bad. EVen though I blame that mostly on Manny's lack of action, I think giving that to the fans would've helped soothe bad feelings.

Agreed, this fight had failure written all over it but a press tour may have created a moment that got fans interested.
