  • The Current "man to beat" at 147 is....

    ...Timothy Bradley.

All the new booties are just up and comers. Bradley has ran the gauntlet and came out on top.

    Whitter
    Holt
    Alexander
    Peterson
    Abregu
    Pacquiao x2
    Providnokov
    Marquez
    Vargas
    chaves
    Rios

Who's resume is deeper at 147?

    What say you

I think it's fairly well agreed that now Floyd has retired that Welter looks something like:

      Pac
      Bradley

      any order:

      Brook
      Khan
      Maidana (basically retired)
      Thurman

      followed by:

      Porter
      Alexander

      Chaves
      Rios?
      D.Garcia?

I'd already rate Garcia above Rios at Welter because Rios hasn't done sht in the division & Garcia despite only having 1 win WW is clearly the better fighter. Chaves mixes in with them.

In 2 years time Khan, Bradley, Maidana & Pac will have all retired. Wonder whether Brook will be able to make the weight.

Spence should make his entry during this period.

Most of that resume is from 140lbs.

In fact, how many of those wins are against genuine welterweights?

I didnt rate Pac because he is injured an who knows what weight and when he'll fight gain. therefore, he is "innactive" in my book

That still gives him a better resume than just about anyone else at welterweight, besides Pacquiao. It's better than Khan, Brook, Thurman, Garcia, etc.

Bradley already "fought it out" amongst his peers, snatching zero's. He now sits at the top as "the man to beat"
