Right now the backers are getting some backed money thats owned to them.
Do you think the car dealerships give away cars? How about the house Wilder lives in, do you think his past paydays handle ALL his bills?
He has a child with enormous needs and he has backers who have backed all through the BS fights that really had minimal revenue.
Haymon is recouping now before the better opponents come knocking its all part of business.

I think the kid is fun to watch, he has minmal skills and gets excited when the situations get intense but every fighter doesn't have to be a highly skilled
pro. Some are simply entertaining and thats ok.
Wlad and Mayweather have made millions and their both boring as paint drying.

I guess little g has no control either then, stop the bias bashing with anything with pbc or haymon but use the nobody wants to fight me excuse when it comes to y'all favorite fighters

When you have a heavy weight title belt you cant fight the stiffs that haymon usually sets guys up with its a ****stain on wilders record and the sport as a whole. We can only hope this mismatches arent so blatant that someone gets hurt like quillin zerafa

Wlads fighting Fury, So maybe Wilder will fight Joshua one day. And the winners fight each other. So on paper probably Wlad vs Joshua.

It doesn't matter when you are steady beating the next best guy in the division and fulfilling mandatory obligations.

Hahaha please. Wilder is actually quite skilled. He doesn't always look beautiful if you're using the eye test but a guy who consistently is far more active than his opponents, lands at a good clip and has his power and speed is going to beat just about anyone. Guy throws a ton of punches and is actually quite mobile. Sure he could use some work in certain areas but his "flaws" are fixable whereas some guys just don't have the physical tools to be successful.

Outside of course Wlad and Povetkin everyone's resume is about equal or worse than Wilder's. Everyone thinks Fury is a super tough fight but his best win is Chisora. I mean Stiverne would be favored over Chisora all day and twice on Sunday.

Wilder's opponents frankly aren't that bad when taken in perspective. It's just a meme started by the boxing establishment that gets parroted over and over by those who want to see Wilder fail because he's a threat to the boxing establishment that now loves big stiff euro HW's. Wilder was a kid that came out of nowhere at age 20 (who ever heard of an elite fighter from Alabama?) and was annihilating all these kids being groomed under USA Boxing since they were toddlers and made the Olympics. Wilder is the last USA boxing Olympic medal-winner if you can believe that.

Had Wilder started boxing at 10 and trained under Teddy Atlas he would be getting more hype than Tyson..

I find it bizarre that the same people that want AJ to step up and face good fighters already, so early into his career are the same people that defend Wilder for being the leader of the Bum Squad.

Great journalism! We need more questions like this asked of other fighters as well.

Btw i got Klitchsko as the new p4p#1based on his opposition.

The problem is Wilder is fighting Molina and Duhaupus when theres better fighters out there. Wilder has a strap, but hes getn the prospect treatment. He needs to step his comp up, simple.
