This is a coward state of mind though.

Pac/Floyd was a big fight because both fanbases thought they had the best fighter in the sport. There is no logical reason why a boxing fan shouldn't want this fight unless you fall under one of the other categories in the poll.

It's like an NFL fan not wanting to see the best teams play in the Super Bowl or soccer fans not wanting to see the best teams play in the World Cup.

Why do Golovkin fans not think he can beat Ward?

Golovkin fan here and I don't think Golovkin can beat Ward. Though they should fight, you never know.

I think he can, he could lose, and I'd like to see it. But a big majority here thinks its a rout, and Ward vs Kovalev is more competitive. Boxing fans like competitive. So it makes much more sense, esp since neither guy has much going on, unlike Ggg. How long should Wards ducking be tolerated by the fans?

I don't even take them seriously. Their desperation to see GGG lose is beyond pathetic. It's embarrassing even, considering the current situation where GGG is already busy training for his scheduled fight, while Kovalev is available and looking for an opponent. You won't see them pushing for the Kovalev fight, which is far more competitive than the one they do.

Funny part is they're not even sure whether Ward really wants GGG or not. It's not even clear whether Ward accepts GGG's 164 proposal. These clowns assume it will be fought at Ward's weight, hook line and sinker. Man, this is terrorism.

Another funny part is Ward always comes out only when GGG is already signed up to fight someone.

I don't want to watch Ward fight, period. He's incredibly boring and spoils every fight. Call him the greatest ever, I don't care, I don't want to see him.

Maybe MMA would be more your thing. Not much in the way of defense or fighting off the back foot there
