Good post. Floyd and Manny took BAD level opponents -Algieiri and Berto-and did 425k and 550k. they both deserve more credit from opposing fans.

Doubt It! Neither is Mexican and neither is American. Casuals won't give a **** about that fight, most casuals don't even know who these guys are. Then again that shows how ****** Casuals are, they always miss out on the Entertaining Fights they want because they buy PPV based on NAMES

It's a lot of buys but it's a poor number relative to the budget. Ggg's event can do better because it might be able to turn a profit, whereas I highly doubt Floyd's did. Having a lot of sales is great but if your operating costs dwarf that then the event, or business, is a failure. It's simple economics. Floyd getting paid 32 million does not make it a success.

True, but you need to keep in mind this is the last fight of the deal. Since 2 fights were so incredibly profitable it offset this one which surely will lose money given Floyd's guarantee.

I don't want the fight to be too big. If it does 100k-150k it would be perfect. Why? because I don't want every single future GGG fight being a PPV. If it was successful ggg and his team will only get greedy and become another Diva like so many of them. Also if it completely fails it would make others just write him off as "not big enough".

I already see some signs of Diva'esque GGG team behavior when it comes to Ward. Also Ward himself acts like a prime diva too.

I like what Lemieux did. He could have hid in Montreal and collected steady million+ dollar checks. He said nope, give me GGG and made EOTTM put pressure on Golden Boy to negotiate. He will lose his head in the fight, but his hunger is real and more fighters should follow his act.

If it does well, it will be because of the Canadian market.

Canadian/Brits are great fans. They support you no matter what your color is. Unlike here in the states.

Nobody is saying that you utter ******. Success in business is measured by whether you can actually turn a profit. That's the point of putting on these events. In that regard ggg's fight can do better than Floyd's event. Understand now?
