He always cared about unifying duh. It's only now that his profile has grown so much to make unifications possible. Plus Chavez and Froch were both massive money and exposure. Real dumb point

GGG wants money just like any other fighter. When going to 168 paid more than unification-he looked to do that.

Now that 168 means Ward-and possibly losing, which could affect the canelo/cotto winner payday,-he chooses unification as his goal.

Golovkin's always been seeking unifications even before he was on HBO. He's reached out for some select SMW fights in between to help raise his profile.

Once we determine if this email is true, then we can answer this. Dude, that wasn't Ward it was HBO, same as it is now. Then they choose Ward over dawson so having Dawson come down made it easier for Ward, the guy who had the HBO deal.

Now its GGG-he has the deal, is HBO's guy. The Canelo/GGG (undefeated) PPV has the potential to sell over 1 mil.when was the last time that happened without Floyd or Manny being involved?

So I get it, don't risk GGG losing and messing up a huge fight that should move boxing into the next era.

Ward is just using Golovkin's name. I don't see him making any effort to make the fight happen when GGG is available. He's only obsessing when GGG already had a scheduled fight. Let's not get carried away with this nonsense. Ward is not serious about taking a high profile fights at the point.
