He beat ceaser, a guy with 12 career losses and had lost 2 of his last 3 prior to fighting cotto.

Ironically about the same age, a young canelo had already beat the same trout that beat a prime cotto. In fact, he beat probably 5 guys better than cottos win over ceaser at the same age, including one with the greatest of our generation, floyd mayweather.

Ok, wait a prime Cotto? no sorry Cotto was at a low when he fought Trout. He had already been in numerous wars, with Clottey,Zab,Mosely,Margaritto and Mayorga. Cotto had 14 pro fights..Canelo had 43 fights. How does that compare? Cotto is past his prime, but he has gone back to what made him a great fighter. We werent seeing those hooks to the body for a long time, once he got with Roach, that was the first thing he brought back, that bodywork, and aggression. He got a second wind. And I am not hating on Canelo, but I just dont see greatness in him, I think he is a very good fighter, but not a great fighter.

End of the day we all know Cotto is going to lose. Vegas knows Cotto is going to lose. Roach is a GREAT trainer but I just can't see hoe a 4' 5" cotto with T-rex arms is going to be able to keep Saul off him... And for the clowns who bring up Jose Cotto just remember the ref had to save him. A GROWN man against a 19-20 year old scrawny lil kid at the time...I do hope Cotto only remembers that fight and not the Kirkland one. Because it's $$$$ 4 me.
