You see what Tarver did to him? You see what GJ did to him? And Johnson wasn't even an A Level fighter. Roy lacked heart and toughness. On top of that, he couldn't take a punch. You morons don't know boxing in my eyes. One attribute does not beat a great fighter. Roy's speed would not keep SK or GGG off him. It wouldn't keep SRL or Hagler off of him. He would have to take leather to beat those guys. PERIOD. History says, he wouldn't be able to take that kind of leather.

And one more example. Remember how Danny green Ko'ed Roy. Hahaha!!!! Do you remember how Tarver went over to his home town and beat him down with fundamentals just a short time after???? The end!
    In other words:

"Those A fighters he beat don't count! Now let me bring up a bunch of fights from when Roy was shot!!"

Jackass. I don't think you actually know who Roy Jones is and you're just repeating nonsense somebody told you.

Can you explain how Hopkins was a 'prospect' when he fought Roy the first time?

People talking about RJJ like he was invincible, the man only really started knocking people out when he was on the juice, and still his best two wins never came by knockout. GGG has taken everyones power till date without flinchin and you talk like he would all of a sudden get KOd by someone who himself had a dodgy jaw.

        ******ity of some people seriously.

Sure. Roy fought a very green Hopkins in 1993. Keep in mind that Hopkins turned Professional in "1988". Prior to fighting Roy, he fought Gilbert Baptist and Wayne Powell. Neither had fought anyone as good as the other. Hopkin's prime officially started with his unification win over Tito. Despite being 36yrs of age at the time, Roy was his most significant fight prior to the Tito win.

But him and Roy were number 1 and 2 by the IBF fighting for a vacant title, surely that makes him a top middleweight contender?

By ranking, I would say yes. By skill level at that time in his career, that win meant absolutely nothing for either of them. Honestly. Know what I am saying? It's not like either one of them had a "significant" win at that the time they met. I say the same for any number one or number two contender. what is their skill level? How good are they at number one and number two?

Roy toys with him. It would be embarrassing.

                    - Really bad, he would abuse him. Roy in his prime was something special, he was just so athlectic and gifted. I never seen anyone lead with an uppercut..and land with power.. He was amazing to watch.

No, it's actually people like you who talk about Golovkin as if he's invincible. It's amusing how you belittle Jones career but hype another fighter who doesn't have a single defining career win at 33 years of age. A prime Roy Jones jr would never have to take numerous flush shots from a C level fighter like Willie Monroe jr. That's all that needs to be said about that.

You're one of those "******" people you're referring to.
