Ward needs to earn his shot at Gennady. Nobody knows who he is, his ratings are horrible, no credible wins in the past 2 years. Now it's too late. He had the chance but he ducked the fight 7 times now Gennady is in the big leagues with the big names and NOW he wants the spotlight too so he uses Gennadys name.

Andre needs to beat some credible opposition first and somehow get decent ratings, otherwise he is just a Roc Nation ESPN UNDERCARD fighter, Gennady is now a PPV Mega Star. A fight with him makes no sense now has no significance.

this fight will sell better anyway after GGG gets more exposure in his next fight. i dont think GGG and Ward are such household names that the general public is demanding to see the fight. If he can get past David and then the winner of Cotto-Canelo, then that perfectly sets up a mega fight.

ward is a great boxer, not as great a business man.

Ward is brain dead. Golovkin is going to have more ppv viewers against Lemieux (not to mention a sold out msg) than Ward had for his last fight that was available to 90 million people. Ward doesn't have any fans. Even his supporters on nsb don't really watch him, they just use his name when they want to criticize someone like golovkin. Why the f**k would GGG move up 8 pounds to fight Ward when he has a legitimate superfight lined up against canelo or cotto where he will probably only have to drop 2 pounds ( which I believe he can do comfortably)?
