Comments Thread For: Khan: I Really Think Mayeather Returns, Goes For Me

Amir Khan, who had campaigned to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the American's swansong, paid tribute to the pound-for-pound king after he hung up his gloves following his 49th straight win.

Mayweather dominated Andre Berto over twelve rounds last Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Both Khan and Berto are trained by Virgil Hunter.

"I' m obviously very upset I didn't get the fight," added Khan to Sky Sports. "We have to remember him as a great fighter. He was a very good fighter, what he did in boxing, all the entertainment, the showbiz and everything.

If there were ever a pictorial representation of a Clown without Face Painting, Nose, and outfit...KHAN WOULD BE IT.. Seriously, the problem with Khan is clear...He has a sense of entitlement...as if he has earned the big named fights. He hasn't. He keeps bringing up Manny Pacquiao...MANNY PACQUIAO...The one dude who has already exclaimed that he will not fight until 2016...He is setting himself up to get Mayweather'd again but this time by Pacquiao.

I'm just not understanding why he is not chomping at the bit for a Porter, Thurman, Garcia (Rematch), OR KELL BROOK fight THIS YEAR!!!! I mean, especially Kell Brook...

Oh, I know why...He want's to fight the guys that are not as young as he is.

It's understandable that he's trying to get big money and a big stage. He is confident in himself and loves himself. He wants the spotlight. That's fine. It's just that he's so back and forth when commenting on Mayweather.

Didn't he just say a day or so ago that he doesn't think Floyd wants him for #50? Now he saying he thinks Floyd will chase him for #50?

He should be focusing on establishing his own career legacy. He should forget about Floyd and simply aim to lead Welterweight, aim for Garcia.
