There has to be somebody a bit better than this fringe contender, he has just had two tune ups already.

Chaves is a world class loser. He is like a good, high end gatekeeper. I think he maybe a little more tricky for Brook than Rios but I feel both fights are rubbish.
    Chaves does nothing for me.
    Who has he even beat?
He may as well be rematching Hector David Saldivia.

I find it hugely disappointing after following Brook for so long when he beat Porter I was over the moon for the kid. I wanted to see him in super fights!
Manny, Khan, Floyd, Marquez, Bradley. I think he belongs in that company, in fact I honestly believe he'd beat them all but Floyd.
3 defenses now against opponents who are a far cry from world level.
I felt Bradley won too. Had it 7-5 I think. But it was a really tough fight for both. Same with Thurman up until the stoppage. But you're right in saying he's a world class loser. But I can't really see how this is worse than Rios quality wise. It would have just been funnier seeing all the trash talk from Rios and then watching Brook put a beating on him.

Jo Jo Dan - It was what it was. Mandatory. Gavin was absolutely dreadful. No question about it. They tried to get Bradley, but didn't happen. Hopefully it will next year.

I think Kevin Bizier will be mandatory which shows how absolute crap IBF mandatory is. Dan beat Bizier twice. Who did Bizier beat to become mandatory?

Hopefully the Bradley fight will happen in March. That would be a cool fight.

I've totally lost faith in Brook and his team.

I think he beats anybody but Floyd but I'm not sure he or his team feel that way and seem to be a bit reluctant to fight legitimate opposition.

It isn't just Brook though most of these WWs seem to want it easy.

Seems like they do. If another Gavin esque defense pops up, I'll worry. Not about Chaves. Honestly, if he's good enough for Bradley & Thurman, why not Brook?

Chavez will make Ezekiel work, I'm sure of that. I'm interested to see if Brook can dominate him. As a fan of Ezekiel however, I'm not impressed with his championship run. Like at all.

They're milking this strap Braehmer style!

I give him a pass for fighting whoever it was after his injury but Gavin is **** and now Chaves? He ain't much better. By the time this fights done with and all that its going to be almost 2 years practically wasted.

You can't sit and blame Khan forever. Brook needs to get on with his career and fight meaningful opposition.
A few years ago i actually thought he not Khan would be the one that TBE fights in the UK, remember when TBE came over here?

and he promised to fight here? I actually thought Brook would have pushed on from that time to the point here he would be in frame for that fight.....a bit disappointed with his career to be honest, he is going in the right directions doe but quite slowly.

I saw what Ashley Theophane said last week about how he respect THREE fighters from the UK...Haye, Froch and Khan because they are willing to leave their comfort zone and take their craft to america especially.

This is the common theme with some UK fighters, they sit at home or hold a belt hostage here. Not all of them by the way but not enough of them come out, we need more fighters who are willing to go to america and fight there, not just have one or two fights there and run back here.

Very disappointed in Brook. He should of been targeting Mayweather, Manny even a Bradley or Marquez not taking steps back. He will end up going stagnant at this rate.
You don't think he would take a fight with Mayweather or Pacquaio? I mean....do people actually use their heads when making these sorts of comments?

                Chaves is just a journeyman

                Julio Diaz>Chaves

At least Diaz drew with Prime Porter before Brook got a win..Diaz didnt hold and clinch his way to a draw..

After Khan ruined Diaz...only then did Porter manage to beat him

I think he will stop Chaves and he would stop Thurman if they ever fight.

This is a good point. Their whole selling point with Chaves is "the guy who drew with Bradley" just like Diaz drew with Porter and a solid journeymen in tough fights. At least Diaz held a World title.

"Why not Brook?" That is because those guys have a pedigree of being in tough fights, while Kell has a very underwhelming opposition. Chaves in itself is not a bad fight, but coming off Dan and Gavin it is a joke. Pathetic!!!!

Brook would beat any WW, no WW wants to fight him blah blah blah. Why don't they go public with their offers like they did with Frampton?

                      You're such a promotional fan-tard.
