Comments Thread For: Showtime Sports VP Not Expecting Mayweather Return

Stephen Espinoza, the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Showtime Sports and Event Programming, has jumped on board with a limited few who believe Floyd Mayweather Jr. is indeed retiring from the sport.

This past Saturday night, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Mayweather raised his record to 49-0 with a one-sided twelve round decision win over Andre Berto.

The Showtime Pay-Per-View headliner was pushed as the final bout of Mayweather's 19 year career.

          Everybody

Everybody is glad to see him go. Most disliked boxer in history. No ethics or morals. Scams and thugs, and BS.

If he comes back, hopefully a challenge presents itself. I know 2 Brits that it wont be as theyre waiting for someone else to eliminate all the threats. I say Garcia is in position to make some huge strides at WW seeing as everybody at WW refuse to step up.

good riddance.. hope he stays retired.. I don't wish him bad.. just don't want boxing fans to live thru another pot shot, move, clinch, move, pot shot, clinch, pot shot, move Olympic style fight.. minus the onlympic testing..

Happy retirement Froid "TUE" Gayweather... hope you manage your money well this time and stay away from the sport you and haymon have single handedly managed to ruin...

He clearly has no Intention to return.

That may change but at this point it's very clear.
