So Lopez and Chavez record don't matter because there are blemishes.

As probably the biggest Floyd fan only second to larryx on NSB, I disagree.

I also have Maricano as a top 3 fight all time, and Floyd isn't in my top 10, but i'm also one of the most objective posters on NSB too, so there's that.

Rocky Marciano Jr. would have preferred to see a heavyweight match the record instead of a welterweight. He feels it's much tougher for someone to go 49-0 at heavyweight, because of the sheer size of the boxers and many of them having the ability to end a fight with one punch. [Click Here To Read More]
Marciano only had 7 championshp fights and his opposition outside of those 7 fights was lackluster. He's obviously a great fighter but these 49-0 records are not created equally.

Trying to compare this Barry character record to M&Ms record of 49-0 is like comparing a baseball perfect game to a no hitter.

Barry would have had 10 walks for a no hitter. Pretty sure a few of those draws was actually loses.

Floyd lost clearly to Castillo, and lost the first fight with Maidana.

                  So he's not really 49-0.

Marciano never had a special referee to protect him (like Floyd's Cortez and Bayless).

And he never demanded an opponent wear gloves with EXTRA padding.

Why is Chavez even mentioned? The record is for a career with no loses, he didn't end his career undefeated.
