"God gifted talent like ward"... You think ward would make it up to pfp number 2 if he was trained by you or some random drunk trainer? Virgil is responsible for a lot of his success.

Virgil Hunter kept Andre Berto mentally in the fight for the full twelve rounds. When the fighter physically can't compete or simply is unable to execute the plan, all you've got left is being a motivator.

Not sure what else could be expected of Hunter, tbh
He never offers any technical advice he just sits whispering weird metaphors trying to come across as sounding wise like say a Bernard Hopkins but he fails & just ends up sounding like a damn sex offender.
Worst trainer. Reminds me of Teddy Atlas, wants to have the lime light and appear to be a cool dude when he's just a ****ing moron.
... Angulo's natural inclination is to bring the fight and push the action forward; beyond that, Alvarez needs space to get his **** off anyway.

So, yes, telling a guy who's best chance to win was to push the fight, to do everything to push the fight, was actually pretty ****ing good advice.

              the hate is hilarious

My thoughts exactly. Berto is tailor made for Floyd. Come on Larry the guy got his ass whooped by Soto. He was 3-3 coming in. He's just not top talent.

                    Don't blame the trainer

Damn, this forum proves time and time again that being a boxing fan doesn't automatically mean that you know what the **** you're talking about. Aside from being a fan what professional experience do you have in boxing, what gives you the right to disrespect a trainer that's been involved in the sport for decades?
