He's always the same. I've never actually seen him give advice for the coming round and giving tactical advice. He just says "you got this" and other little catchphrases.

As i said many times, he is a dumb guys idea of an intelligent man because he speaks with the calmness, assurance and manner of an intelligent man but if you look beyond the demeanour and listen to what he says, it's a lot of hot air and no substance.

I'm not saying he's dumb of course but i don't think he's an elite trainer or some boxing Guru. He's dining out on Ward who would have been great anywhere, i'm not saying Hunter hasn't done a good job with him, he has, but he's hardly shown himself as a top trainer with anyone else. He's not like Robert Garcia where guys go to and you start seeing a clear improvement.

Virgil was out of his league. Look how Mr. 'Calm & Cool' snapped and said he was going to grab Keith Thurman by the pony tail and break his neck. I think that was pressure.

Vigril Hunter is the work trainer in boxing. His advice to Angulo in the Canelo fight was "HIT HIM EVERYWHERE!"

Worst trainer. Reminds me of Teddy Atlas, wants to have the lime light and appear to be a cool dude when he's just a ****ing moron.

Yea he does. Although it's a one dimensional one at that. He is great at fighting toe to toe, and at a slow pace, any kind of unorthodox movements and it throws him off. Like Berto, his style of potshotting and relying on handspeed has worked his whole life. But it takes more to be the best and they have fallen short to what they could've been because they havn't had to adapt in becoming more dynamic. They aren't ruff fighters and they aren't overwhelming offensively. Unless they can beat you punch for punch, there is plenty of ways to go about upsetting them in the ring. Take Maidana for instance. He isn't a great athlete by any means. But what he lacks in speed he makes up for with being more calculated and intelligent on how he approaches and adapts to a opponent.

He never offers any technical advice he just sits whispering weird metaphors trying to come across as sounding wise like say a Bernard Hopkins but he fails & just ends up sounding like a damn sex offender.

I have been saying this forever, Hunter is the worse trainer out their in boxing.

Every boxer has suffered their worse beating under Hunter tutelage with the exception of Andre Ward but he would be one of those fighters that would have achieved the same thing under any other. Andre ward has what you call natural talent.

I've seen a few people say he's a good trainer & a average to bad cornerman. I tend to agree with that angle. Like most are saying I don't think it matters in this fight, but it surely is something that could hurt him in other fights.

Come on, Mayweather was fighting Berto for Gods sake. This has nothing to do with Hunter
